SF Pinnacle Media Release

In one of the State’s largest regional law enforcement operations, a 14-month joint investigation between the NSW Police Force Orana Mid-Western Police District, Drug and Firearms Squad, State Crime Command, and the NSW Crime Commission has uncovered a large scale drug syndicate operating out of the NSW Wellington-Dubbo region.

The Drug and Firearms Squad established SF Pinnacle in February 2019 to investigate the supply and distribution of prohibited drugs by significant persons of interest in the Central West region of NSW.

On 27 May 2020, the NSW Police Force executed 21 search warrants in the Wellington-Dubbo and Sydney regions which resulted in 18 arrests. Officers seized varying amounts of prohibited drugs and items including methylamphetamine, MDMA, heroin, buprenorphine, cannabis, approximately $700,000 in cash, 1.4 kilograms of gold valued at $119,000, firearms and ammunition, electronic stun devices, railway detonators, safes, a poker machine and a number of vehicles.
