A joint investigation between NSW Police Criminal Groups Squad and the NSW Crime Commission has led to the arrests of two people and seizures of more than $500,000 in cash, firearms and illicit drugs as part of attempts to dismantle organised criminal networks operating throughout Sydney’s south-west.

Following inquiries, NSW Police Criminal Groups and Raptor Squad officers executed five search warrants at homes at Parramatta, Merrylands and Greystanes, as well as a Pemulwuy business on Wednesday 15 December 2021. A NSW Crime Commission Criminal Assets Recovery Act search warrant was also executed at a property in Greystanes.

The search warrants resulted in the seizures of luxury watches, heroin and cocaine, encrypted devices, cash and documentation.

A 25 year-old man was arrested and charged with three offences, including reckless grievous bodily harm – in company, affray, and assault person intend criminal activity of criminal group. A 26 year old woman was also arrested at pyrmont and charged with dishonestly obtain property by deception and four counts of use false document to obtain financial advantage.

Investigations are ongoing and further arrests are expected.
