A man has been arrested and charged with attempt to possess a commercial quantity of border-controlled drug as part of SF Mactier investigations between NSW Police, Australian Federal Police, Australian Border Force and the NSW Crime Commission.

A joint operation commenced in February this year to investigate the importation after Australian Border Force officers identified 13kg of cocaine concealed in an air cargo consignment from Greece. The consignment had a potential street value of $5.8m.

As part of ongoing investigations, a man was stopped by NSW Police on Tuesday 16 February and subsequently charged with attempt to possess a commercial quantity of a border-controlled drug, deal with proceeds of crime ($7690 in cash) and possess prescribed restricted substances.
