Strike Force Trobriand Media Release

Organised Crime Squad detectives have charged four people and seized more than $8 million in cash as part of Strike Force Trobriand investigations between the NSW Police Force and NSW Crime Commission into an alleged money laundering syndicate involved in the supply of prohibited drugs across Sydney.

On Thursday 6 January 2022, NSW Police executed a Firearm Prohibition Order search warrant at a Campsie address and located $260,000 in cash as well as amounts of methylamphetamine and MDMA. Further search warrants were executed in Burwood, Campsie and Rhodes on Wednesday 12 January 2022.

NSW Police located more than $60,000 in cash at the Burwood property, $3.1 million in cash at a unit in Rhodes and a further $4.78 million from a vehicle.

Two men and two women were arrested and charged with a range of offences including knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, and supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity.
